For the most part, I can give a class anytime you and I can be at the shop at the same time. I do not have a certain number of students to “make” a class so most classes are “one on one”. While I am working at my day job (elem. teacher), classes can start at 4 or 5 pm, after I arrive at the studio. Classes on Saturday start at 10 or 11am. Classes can even happen on a Sunday if need be.

STAINED GLASS CLASSES .....
instructor - Daniel $120
Beginning stained glass class consists of 3 classes, each one 3 hours long. During each class you will complete a small project.
Class #1 - dragonfly suncatcher
Class #2 - iris flower suncatcher
Class #3 - 16” X 13” mirror
During these classes you will learn the copper foil technique covering the topics of cutting glass, grinding, foiling, tinning, soldering, framing with zinc , and polishing. Price is $40 per class. This includes all materials and use of all tools, you need to bring or buy nothing else.
If you want to continue on to an intermediate class, we will discuss your skill level and you can pick a project you want to complete.
FUSED GLASS CLASSES.....
instructor - Daniel $70
Fusing (non jewelry) is a series of 2 classes where you will make two 4” tiles, a nightlight, and a small bowl/plate. The topics discussed include glass compatibility, firing schedules, cutting, use of frit / stringer / fusing paper, mold preparation, and firing. Classes are $35 per class. No need to bring or buy anything else for the class.
DICHROIC JEWELRY CLASS-..... instructor - Daniel $70
This one time, 2 hour class includes the making of 2 pendants using dichroic glass. Participants will learn about the properties of this space age material. Topics will include cutting of glass, glass COE, layering, using fiber paper, and finishing. The cost of this class is $70.

CHAINMAILLE CLASSES-.....

Would you like to try the ancient craft of Chain Maille but you were afraid it might be too difficult and too expensive? Well I have the class for you, learn the basics of chain maille while making a lovely copper or silver colored bracelet starting from a length of wire. Learn about wire choice, making jump rings, correct tools to use, and making a handmade clasp

DICHROIC ENGRAVING CLASSES.....
instructor - Daniel $30 , prerequisite - dichroic jewelry class
After learning about the properties of dichroic glass in the beginning jewelry class, take it to the next step and start engraving on this space age material. Students will hand cut a piece of dichroic glass and then engrave the pattern of a butterfly wing. The wing will be encased under a clear layer of glass and then fired and annealed to ensure its durability.

WIRE WRAPPING CLASS..... instructor - Daniel $25
Learn the basics of wire wrapping an irregular shaped cabochon, beach glass or stone. We will use copper or tinned copper wire (silver color) to make a beautiful pendant. Basics of bail making, tools, wire specs, wire twisting, and hole drilling will be discussed.

DECORATIVE SOLDERING.....
instructor - Daniel $25
Ever wonder how to get those smooth, rounded seams on your stained glass projects? If you have, let Daniel so you his secrets to great solder lines. Students will also learn how to prep your iron for best results and some decorative solder techniques such as solder balls, working with wire, tinning an outside edge. Students may want to bring their own soldering iron.
GLASS CHARMS.....

Create a beautiful soldered charm encased in glass. Bring in a quarter sized photo, graphic or initial to make this beautiful pendant. You could even make some charms for a charm bracelet. Participants will
learn about proper foiling, solder
control, attaching a bail and
decorative soldering techniques.
BROKEN CHINA JEWELRY.....

If you have been hanging onto a cracked or broken piece of Grandma’s china, this class is for you! Students will learn the process of taking a piece of china and making a beautiful heirloom pendant. Participants will learn about proper foiling, solder control, attaching a bail and decorative soldering techniques.
